ONE

We loved,  
before we knew how to love,  and we moved on,  
before we knew how to move on,  and long before  
we knew how to mend  
our broken hearts.  
Yet we are together always,  
though you’ve passed from this earth,  and in the moments  
when there’s a tear in the veil,  and our worlds collide 
as the dust of stars  
falls around our feet,  
I touch the beyond, 
and find comfort, knowing  
that our hearts still beat as one.
