Ode to Kintsugi
By Sara Spock
there are cracks
and gaps, spaces
of me that
could be
empty.
places the crush
of boots in a
rushing crowd
broke my seams
apart.
where voices pitch
to shatter
glass and
fissures cleaved
anew.
like ribbons of
lacquered gold
bridge the
breaks in
pottery,
your lines glaze
the void, flaxen
and rich, where
should be
a rift.
I am filled
with you.
