Ray Bugay (aka Girard Tournesol) has published two books of poetry and has been published on HelloPoetry, Dark Horse Poetry and in all three editions of The Watershed Journal. His eclectic style and captivating imagery has won him recognition as the first place poet during last year’s Rebecca M. Arthur’s Library Poetry Contest. Ray is also known for his interpretation of Street Poetry, where he writes personalized poems off the top of head for participants at events and festivals. In this episode, Ray discusses how the natural world provides inspiration for his poetry and how he handles sudden bursts of inspiration.

In our continuing mission to promote regional writers, photographers and storytellers, we are introducing yet another way for our followers and supporters to get to know the incredibly talented people who make The Watershed Journal possible. In these episodes, our writers will talk about the inspiration and methods behind their work.
