Poetry & Cats at the Calico Cafe
On Saturday, February 18, twelve poets met together at the Calico Cafe in Brookville to read cat poetry … to cats! The poetry was well received, as were the laser toys. In between readings, participants shared stories about their own cats and played with the sweet kitties.
If you are unfamiliar with the Calico Cafe, it is a new coffee shop opened by Krista Uhrin where you can opt to enjoy your fresh coffee and pastries with shelter cats. They have a large menu of coffee and tea drinks and freshly made or locally sourced pastries. For cat lovers, there’s also a selection of cat-themed shirts and accessories.
