Season of Solitude

Black death on a red-flagged battleground
Invisible, silent, deadly, and strong
Our enemy invaded, targeting all
Young and old, our people fall

Doesn't matter who you are
Who you know or what you own
Brains, money, friends, fast cars
Can't protect you or the people you know

On death's front lines our heroes fight,
Saving lives both day and night
Selflessly, their lives they sacrificed
Many paying the ultimate price

Soldiering on to win this fight
Our fortress is home as we stay inside
Mourning our fallen, the broken lives
In this season of Solitude
Will we survive?

Alone we cried as alone they died
No comfort in that final goodbye
Invisible demon, you will not win
We'll kick your butt as we rise again

Today we hold our loved ones tight
As stronger, gentler, we reunite
