We are currently in submissions for our Summer 2023 Edition, the 21st issue we’ve done. When I’ve read about other magazine founders who last around our lifetime, this is when the grind kicks in and you start to lose sight of your initial drive. But this has not been our experience. Everything comes back to the lively and loving literary community that we are honored to be a part of and all of our energy grows from that rich soil. So I can say I’m just as excited to see what comes across our “desk” this quarter just like every time before! What will be new, what will show growth, what will challenge me and inspire me to do more creative work myself?

As we look forward to the next five years, we know our mission of serving writers and readers in the western PA Wilds and beyond will stay central to our efforts. While we have many dreams for growth into wider territories, it is the depth of our reach that shows us we are successful. What started as a social group and expanded into publishing and bookselling will always be dedicated to the individuals who support the literary arts in our region.
